For a long time I have been looking for a good finance manager and I think I found one that does exactly what I want. It’s not Mint, it’s Geezeo!

First off, Geezeo makes it incredibly simple to join the site to use the services. If you have a Google account (if you don’t get one), you can just use that as your login. As soon as you login, you should add some of your accounts.Now, the best part of Geezeo is that you can pretty much add any account you have with (almost) any financial institution. Ok maybe saying ANY is pushing it, but I was just so excited to add my student loan account (the one with the government). I never knew how deep in debt I was to the government, but thanks to Geezeo now I know (and the fact that I am a senior and have to pay this off soon scares me).

But wait, so what else does Geezeo do? Geezeo is not just a finance manager, its a community. And we all know how awesome online communities are! You can add your goals, view goals that others have and add them to your goal list. Users can comment and motivate you to reach your goals. Geezeo also has groups. For example, I am a freelancer and I found “Phat Wallet Freelancers” on Geezeo and within the group there are discussions. A user had posted about Fractured Atlas which is basically health insurance for artists.

So I definitely learned something new and will be checking them out… With Geezeo you can also add confessions (which I am still afraid to do). I’ll keep you guys updated as soon as I man up and submit a whole list of confessions.

Geezeo also keeps you updated on your finances through E-Mail and text message. I highly suggest everyone give Geezeo a shot. It’s really a great resource to manage your money in a social way and I bet you’ll learn a lot too. I know I did.
